TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT

 

1. Any variation of the terms and conditions of this agreement must be made in writing and signed by the GOCSA General Manager.

 

2. GOCSA will provide tuition to the student in the Greek language and culture and for the enrolled course provided payments of all fees are made within one month of enrolment.

 

3. The student undertakes to abide by the rules and regulations of GOCSA Schools and to work regularly and systematically through the course in accordance with instructions.

 

4. Payment of fees: Enrolment, Course and/or textbook fees must be paid before a confirmation of Enrolment form is issued.

 

6. Refund Policy:

 

(a) Students will receive a refund of the tuition fees subject to the General Manager’s approval following careful examination of the reasons for withdrawing.

 

(b) Students will receive a refund of the tuition fees paid, less 20%, if, more than 28 days before the commencement of the course, a student provides written notification of cancellation.

 

(c) With the exceptions listed in (a) and (b) above, one semester’s notice in writing is required prior to students withdrawing from GOCSA Schools. Failure to do so will incur the payment of one semester’s fees.

 

(d) Course fees are not transferable to another person. The refund will be paid within six weeks after notification of withdrawal from the course.

 

 

 

 

 

RELEASE OF INFORMATION

 

 

 

1. The GOCSA respects the privacy of personal and sensitive information regarding your family. The GOCSA collects personal information, including sensitive information about the student and parent(s) or guardian(s) before and during the course of a student’s enrolment at the GOCSA. The primary purpose of collecting this information is to enable the GOCSA to provide schooling for your child.

 

2. In situations where parents are separated, it is the policy of the GOCSA to release school reports to mother and father of the student upon request. It is also our policy to allow both mother and father to attend parent/teacher interviews upon request. However, the GOCSA will abide by any court orders which prevent the release of such information.

 

3. Some of the information the GOCSA collects is to satisfy the GOCSA’s legal obligations, particularly to enable the GOCSA to discharge its duty of care.

 

4. Health information about students is sensitive information within the terms of the National Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act. We may ask you to provide medical information or medical reports about your child from time to time.

 

5. In the event of default of payment of fees, the GOCSA may refer the default to a debt collection agency. If this occurs, personal information will be disclosed to the agency and you will be responsible for the collection costs.

 

6. The GOCSA from time to time is required to disclose personal and sensitive information in order to comply with the law or to report matters to the relevant persons or authorities.

 

7. If we do not obtain the information referred to above, we may not be able to enrol or continue the enrolment of your child.

 

8. Personal information collected from students is regularly disclosed to their parents or guardians. On occasions information such as academic and other achievements, student activities and other news is published in the GOCSA Schools newsletter and our website.

 

9. Parents or guardians may seek access to personal information collected about them and their child by contacting the GOCSA. However, there will be occasions when access is denied. Such occasions would include where access would have an unreasonable impact on the privacy of others, where access may result in a breach of the GOCSA’s duty of care to the student or where students have provided information in confidence.

 

10. If you provide the GOCSA with the personal information of others, such as doctors or emergency contacts, we encourage you to inform them that you are disclosing that information to the GOCSA and why, that they can access that information if they wish and that the GOCSA does not usually disclose the information to third parties.

 

 

 

Declaration

 

12. In enrolling my child at GOCSA I/we accept that he/she will be educated in the Greek language and culture.

 

13. I/we accept that support of GOCSA teaching staff and cooperation concerning GOCSA activities is essential.

 

14. I/we accept that we will abide by GOCSA policies as amended from time to time.

 

15. I/we accept that the GOCSA reserves the right to suspend or expel a student for serious or continued breaches of GOCSA rules, regulations and/or policies, including conduct which brings into disrepute the good name and reputation of the GOCSA.

 

16. I/we accept the standards the GOCSA sets in the Student Code of Conduct Policy regarding behaviour and personal presentation.

 

17. I/we accept responsibility for the payment of tuition fees and other costs associated with the education of my/our child as determined and amended from time to time by the GOCSA (except where exemptions/remissions have been sought and granted).

 

18. I/we accept that the GOCSA does not accept liability for damage or loss of any personal possessions of students and that insurance for my child’s personal possessions is my responsibility.

 

 

 

CONTRACT OF ENROLMENT

 

I acknowledge and accept the above terms and conditions and further declare that all of the information provided in this application is to the best of my knowledge true.

 

 

 

I herewith apply to enrol  at GOCSA  Greek School and agree that if this application is accepted I will be bound by the ‘Terms and Conditions of Enrolment’ included as part of this Application Form which I have read and understood. I will pay to GOCSA the total annual tuition fee payable to GOCSA Schools as set out in the current fee schedule and such other fees or charges as may become payable during the period of enrolment.
